规模深加工农副产品：梅庄镇共有旱地4。4万亩，以种植芝麻、花生、大豆、油菜为主，其中芝麻被农业部列为全国乡镇品质第一、总产第二，黑芝麻富含维生素E和不饱和脂肪酸，口味芳香醇正，具有益气、补血、养颜之功效，可加工芝麻片，精制小麻油；梅庄千年土花生具有香、脆等口感，以及滋肝润肺之功效、可加工成精装土花生及花生系列产品，梅庄镇“皇娘食品有限公司”生产的芝麻片、土花生等系列产品参加江西省北京举办的农副产品展销会，产品在北京十分畅销。江西省技术监督局食品处的领导多次来梅庄考察，先后陪同上市企业广西南方黑五类食品有限公司，江西粮友食品有限公司对农产品深加工进行恰谈，设想在梅庄筹建一个现代食品工业园。
军山湖畔生态旅游：梅庄距南昌瑶湖高校园区40公里，作为南昌的后花园，交通便利，沿军山湖有7个村委会，沿湖岸长51公里，空气清新，青山环绕，碧波浩渺。梅庄镇策应进贤县委、县政府构建环军山湖生态经济圈远景规划目标，梅庄党委政府拟定沿湖为重点的旅游休闲、观光、水上娱乐的各式生态农业科技园。开发前景十分广阔。
水面开发：梅庄镇有可养水面12000亩，其中瑶岗湖5000亩，邬堑湖3000亩，邹坊湖1200亩，镇养鱼场200亩，各村山塘湖叉2600亩，水质纯净鱼鲜味美，自古素有“鱼米之乡”之美誉，各种水产品走俏南昌、上海、深圳、香港等全国各地，丰富的水资源是商家抢点的“制高点”。
服装加工：近年来，随着沿海地区服装加工等劳动密集型企业不断向内陆转移，梅庄在外从事服装缝纫人员相当多。镇党委、镇政府果断决策，决定在梅庄杰岗村委会老虎山筹建一个现代服装加工城，本园区位于梅阳公路旁边距南昌38公里，距梅庄街2公里，沿梅阳公路长500米，总占地面积217。89亩，镇政府对加工城“七通一平”（通路、通电、通讯、通水、通排水道、通路灯、通有线电视、土方平整压实）已作了全面规划。梅庄人民正以求贤若渴的热情，期盼独具慧眼的有志之士来此投资创业。
